To support your chapter’s efforts at the local level, SCORE HQ provides free, centralized social media content publishing and management for your chapter on Facebook and Google Business Profile to drive brand awareness, engagement and improvements in measurable business metrics. Learn more about the Chapter Social Media Program provided to your chapter free of charge.
For those chapters with volunteer bandwidth or paid support, we encourage layering additional local content on top of what is provided and funded by SCORE HQ. There are a number of chapters that are doing this very successfully. We share best practices and ideas in each month’s Social Media Webinar.
In addition, your chapter can open social media accounts on non-centrally managed platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. However, we ask that BEFORE you do, please reach out to our social media team at HQ for more information including:
- Branding Guidelines
- Naming Conventions
- How to link your social media accounts via SOCi, an online content publishing tool, for easy management and volunteer access.
- Best practice guides and tools
We are happy to help you!
For social media best practices to maximize engagement and tips on how to develop local social media content for your chapter, check out this recorded webinar and slide deck. In the webinar, SCORE Maine’s Dan Reed shared real-life examples from his chapter and tips on how to leverage SOCi for social scheduling.
