Giving Tuesday and Season of Giving Chapter Campaign Tools
GivingTuesday (November 28, 2023) is a global movement that unleashes the power of radical generosity to transform communities worldwide. This day is about celebrating generosity and all acts of giving.
During this year's Giving Tuesday campaign, we'll invite our communities to help out small businesses by supporting your local SCORE chapter. To assist your chapter in promoting the amazing contributions SCORE volunteers make (thank you!) on one of the highest-volume days for nonprofit donations all year, we've put together a few resources you can use at the local level.
After Giving Tuesday has ended, encourage your community to continue giving back during the Season of Giving (through December 31).

Table of Contents:
Two Constant Contact Email Drafts
Two GivingTuesday Constant Contact email templates have been loaded into all chapter Constant Contact accounts. One is focused on encouraging a monetary donation to your local chapter and the other is focused on asking for the donation of time by becoming a SCORE volunteer. You can send these templates as is or add chapter-specific content and imagery for a more local feel.
To find these templates:
- Log in to Constant Contact
- Click ‘Campaigns’ in the top menu
- Click ‘Status’ in the menu on the left to expand the Status options. Select ‘Draft’.
- Find the email listed on this page. They should be titled:
- Giving Tuesday - Call for Volunteers Chapter Template
- Giving_Tuesday_2023 - Chapter Template
- Make changes to the sender and/or logo as desired.
- Send the email to your list.
NOTE: Within the email, don't forget to change the link to the donate button to your local chapter donation page & consider marking your subject line “Giving Tuesday: Support Small Businesses on November 28".
After Giving Tuesday, you could re-use this email for the Season of Giving through the end of December. Update the subject line to something similar to “Support Small Businesses through the Season of Giving” and swap out the header image.
Chapter Donate Page Feature
Consider updating your Chapter’s Donate page for Giving Tuesday. You can add the following image and paragraph to the page to encourage people to support your chapter.
Help SCORE Support Small Businesses in Our Community
Please contribute to the SCORE Foundation to help us support small business owners in our community. Our mentoring and education help businesses keep their doors open. Your support will help us create new tools, provide additional training, and reach more small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs locally. Donate Today.
NOTE: if your chapter does not have a local donation form, the SCORE Foundation can provide you with one. All donations made through this chapter-specific page will be automatically designated to the chapter. Complete this form to request a custom donation form for your chapter's website: Online Donation Page for Chapters.
Promote your local donation page by highlighting it on your website homepage, through email, and on social media.

Press Release Example
Consider distributing a local press release about GivingTuesday with details on how to give back to the community through the donation of time by becoming a SCORE volunteer.
SCORE HQ previously ran the following press release: Small Business Mentors Expanding Ranks on Giving Tuesday. You can use this press release as a starting point and swap out the impact stats and quote with chapter information.
Make sure to update the “About SCORE” blurb to:
