This October marks 60 years of SCORE's service to America's small businesses!
To celebrate this important milestone, SCORE HQ is launching a year-long campaign to recognize our history, honor our incredible volunteers, and uplift the small businesses that SCORE is helping to achieve success every day.
Throughout FY25, we are encouraging volunteers, clients, supporters and community partners to share their SCORE stories and join us as we celebrate SCORE’s 60th anniversary.
We invite your SCORE chapter to join the celebration by promoting SCORE in your community. To get started, we have created a chapter toolkit to make it easy for you to participate.
Additional marketing resources will be added to this toolkit once the 60th anniversary pitch competition has concluded, and throughout the year.
Here are actions you can take now to kick off our anniversary celebrations on Oct. 1!

Starting on Oct. 1, 2024, wish SCORE a Happy 60th Anniversary on social media. We encourage you to participate in one of two ways. Here’s how:
Option 1: Record a Video to Post on Social Platforms
Record a short video highlighting what SCORE means to you. These short, authentic videos can be shot on a smartphone and uploaded directly to your personal or chapter social media platforms. All SCORE volunteers are invited to participate!
Here are a few prompts to help inspire you:
- Tell us about a time SCORE made a difference.
- Why do you recommend SCORE to people you know?
- How does SCORE make an impact in small business communities?
- What is your favorite SCORE memory?
- Or… just wish SCORE HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Quick tips:
- Shoot your video vertically (not horizontally).
- Try to film in a quiet space with natural lighting.
- Aim for your video to be anywhere from 15-60 seconds.
- Plan to share your post starting Oct. 1!
- Tag SCORE HQ (see social handles below) and use #SCOREturns60 so that we can repost!
Option 2: Use the SOCi library to Post to Your Chapter’s Social Platforms
We have created a library of content within SOCi for you to use as organic social media posts, and we will add to this library all year long! Instructions on how to access the library are below, but feel free to customize the copy and add a local touch.
View the SOCi Knowledge Base guide here OR follow these instructions:
- Login to SOCi at https://app.meetsoci.com/
- Navigate to Social > Libraries > "60th Anniversary Celebration”
- Choose a message you want to schedule.
- Click the calendar icon next to the message. The message selected will then open as a pop-up for you to make any final edits.
- Scroll down and click the check box next to “Schedule” in order to add this message for a future date on your Scheduler.
- Then, choose the date and timing that you want your message to be published and click “Schedule Post” to add this message to your calendar.
Send a Press Release to Media/Community Contacts
Send a press release to your local media honoring SCORE’s 60 years of service and your chapter’s impact on the local community. We have created this template that you can customize. Be sure to include a local contact name, email and phone number.
A best practice is to include a photo with your press release. Use a recent image of your chapter in action to showcase your local connection or download one of our 60th Anniversary Celebration Graphics. You can either embed the image/graphic in the press release or send as an email attachment.

Submit an Article to Local Media
SCORE HQ has created a pre-written article you can submit for publication in your local media or business journals. Click here to download the article.
Feel free to make minor tweaks to make it yours by adding details about your local SCORE chapter’s impact. Be sure to add a local byline, such as your chapter chair or other local leader, along with a link to your local chapter website.

Add a Tagline to Your Volunteer Email Signature
You can copy the below text under your current volunteer signature:

SCORE is celebrating 60 years of service to America’s small businesses! To learn more, request a mentor or volunteer to be one, visit score.org.
To edit your email signature in Gmail, please follow the below instructions:
- Open Gmail.
- At the top right, click Settings and then See all settings.
- Under "General," scroll to "Signature" and click the signature you want to edit.
- Use the text box to make your changes.
- To change the signature name, click Edit.
- At the bottom, click Save Changes.
