What is a SCORE Media Spokesperson?
A SCORE Media Spokesperson represents SCORE when we receive interview requests from reporters (primarily articles, but also podcasts and radio/TV interviews). They act as thought leaders in their subject area of expertise and they help us spread the word about SCORE and the valuable free mentoring and educational resources SCORE offers to America’s small businesses.
The time commitment would be minimal and interviews would be vetted and scheduled at your convenience. When SCORE receives a relevant interview request that would be a good fit for your area of expertise or knowledge, you will be contacted by a member of our external relations team (or a PR agency that is helping us with specific campaigns) via your scorevolunteer.org email address, to determine your interest and availability.
We ask that you respond as soon as possible since most of the time the reporter is working on a deadline. We try to respond to all inbound requests in 24-48 hours.
If you are willing and are a good fit to serve as a resource or contact for the story, you would be connected with the reporter to find a mutually agreeable time for an interview. Some interviews may also be conducted via email.
Is this you?
