Securing a story for your chapter in your local press is a great feeling! Keep the energy and the reach going by sharing the story with your social media network! Follow these steps:
- Once you’ve had a great and successful media interview, be sure to follow up with the reporter to thank them and ask when the story will be published. Ask them to email you the link to the story once it’s published and let them know you plan to share it.
- When you’ve received the story link from the reporter, uplift the piece onto your chapter digital platforms and personal platforms. Add a note to the post and tag the media outlet or business/mentor featured. For example: Check out this great story in the New York Times featuring insights from SCORE Hudson Valley mentor Jim Brown about exit strategies for entrepreneurs. [INSERT THE LINK HERE]
- Share your media placements with SCORE’s External Relations team via email to media@score.org AND tag SCORE HQ social channels so we can amplify! We love to celebrate your wins and learn more about your great SCORE stories!
As always, our public relations team (media@score.org) is here to provide additional guidance as needed. Thank you for sharing your chapter’s success and accomplishments!
