All SCORE chapters must meet the following criteria in accordance with the Chapter Minimum Standards in order to remain a chapter of the SCORE Association. Minimum standards ensure that chapter operations are sustainable for our clients, volunteers, and communities. The broadly include ensuring alignment with SCORE Headquarters (HQ) operational programs, meeting required client services activities, and adherence to the SCORE Brand.
Chapters that fail to meet minimum standards may be put on probation with a plan to correct deficiencies, merged with a nearby chapter, or closed.
The minimum standards are:
Chapters must have active new volunteer attraction
New volunteers must be added each year as a minimum requirement
Chapters must perform all client services to a minimum quantity
Mentoring
At least 100 mentoring sessions must be recorded each year
Client Training/Workshops
At least 4 locally delivered, live workshops/webinars must be given each year (This requirement does not include other types of training activities such as roundtables, CEO Forums, client focused conferences, etc.)
Chapters must complete the SCORE operational planning process (click here)
Chapters must complete an annual on-site review (click here) and for the SOSR Engagement Report File (click here)
Chapters must comply with all rules in the SCORE Brand Guidelines (click here)
Chapters must have an active Chapter Chair, approved by the District Director, or approved alternative leadership structure in place at all times.
