All SCORE chapters must meet the following criteria in accordance with the Chapter Minimum Standards in order to remain a chapter of the SCORE Association. Minimum standards ensure that chapter operations are sustainable for our clients, volunteers, and communities. They broadly include ensuring alignment with SCORE Headquarters (HQ) operational programs, meeting required client services activities, and adherence to the SCORE Brand.
Chapters that fail to meet minimum standards may be put on probation with a plan to correct deficiencies, merged with a nearby chapter, or closed.
The minimum standards are:
Leadership: Chapters must have an active Chapter Chair, approved by the District Director, or an approved alternative leadership structure in place at all times.
Services: A minimum of two hundred (200) local services annually.
Quality: A consistent NPS and Follow-On Rate at or exceeding the national average.
Meetings: A minimum of six (6) annual in-person or hybrid Chapter Member meetings.
Partnerships: A minimum of five (5) Community Partners established.
Recruitment: Active recruitment of new volunteers.
Strategic Plan: Chapters must complete the SCORE operational planning process
Brand Compliance: Chapters must comply with all rules in the SCORE Brand Guidelines
Annual Review: Chapters must complete an annual on-site review, and for the SOSR Engagement Report File
