In June 2025, SCORE commissioned a competitive media analysis for the purpose of positioning our effectiveness relative to peer organizations in terms of media visibility and social reach. Media coverage was measured by number of of clips, reach and audience value; social media platforms were measured by the number of followers by channel.
Findings showed that in 2024 in terms of media visibility, SCORE secured the third-highest share of voice among competitors with over 11,700 media clips, 34.4 billion potential impressions, and an estimated $318 million in media value – following only the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Administration (SBA). Sentiment analysis shows a largely positive tone in media coverage.
On social media, the analysis showed that SCORE maintains a large presence across platforms through both national and local accounts. Nationally, the U.S. Chamber and SBA have the largest social media followings, with SCORE HQ close behind. SCORE is among the top organizations on text-driven and thought-leadership-centered platforms and has developed a strong presence in video-based long form content.
