❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Why are incoming Mentors being held back for a period of time?
In the final stretch ahead of the roll-out, our focus shifts from those “in progress” being ushered through, it is imperative that the next batch of incoming Mentors have a clear understanding of the new requirements and a point of contact, which will result in a great user experience for their introduction to SCORE. This was a learning from the Pilot we are implementing due to the above, this is a short-term situation.
The Chapters can still make their introductions via interviews and inform about the exciting change happening at SCORE as we unify our process for Volunteer onboarding.
Why are volunteer applications being paused?
Volunteer applications are not being paused. We are allowing them to come in as they usually do, with an updated text block noting that we are undergoing a system and process change so the onboarding may be slightly delayed.
We are requiring that Prospective applicants are not moved to Provisional status, so the RVIC can engage them and guide them through their onboarding.
Can we create workarounds in the absence of moving to Provisional status?
Please do NOT implement any workarounds.
Instead:
- Make great connections with incoming applicants and keep them engaged as we make this successful change together.
- Build a relationship with your RVIC and begin communicating with them to ensure they are ready to work with the applicant and your Chapter for a smooth transition
- Assist any “in progress” Provisionals so they are certified before the cut off dates.
