SCORE Grand Strand & CARVANA Partnered to Create a Minority-Owned Small Business Grant
SCORE Grand Strand partnered with CARVANA to create a CARVANA/SCORE Grand Strand Minority-Owned Small Business Grant.
The Grant was funded by CARVANA and administered by SCORE Grand Strand. They jointly promoted the Grant using ads, email, social media, and PR. They received 5 applicants and all those who applied were then verified and scored by SCORE Grand Strand. The finalists were then sent to CARVANA who selected the winner.
SCORE Grand Strand notified the applicants who did not receive the grant, and CARVANA notified the winner.
After the winner had been contacted, a PR article was published with the winner’s information.
In the future, SCORE Grand Strand is looking to increase the amount of the grant and the geographic area in which applicants can apply to include all counties covered by SCORE Grand Strand (this one only included our primary county of Horry).
The following link includes some examples of the ads, the published PR article, as well as the rules for the grant: https://score.box.com/s/dlbxv8nmq0pedvh314w9562xjuq76fgu

Local Partners Distribute Chapter Newsletter
SCORE NW CT works closely with a number of local business groups. They have encouraged their partners to re-send the chapter's monthly newsletter to their client lists. The chapter's monthly newsletter is created using the Biz Success Tips template that is loaded into all chapter Constant Contact accounts on a monthly basis and then customized with local information.

Junior Chamber of Commerce
SCORE Volusia/Flagler partnered with The Flagler Chamber of Commerce, but the chamber recently went out of business due to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, Tony Flores continued to mentor a specific high school student interested in small business development and internships. To date, the Flagler Palm Coast High School has established a Junior Chamber of Commerce and their chapter helps provide essential lessons in marketing communications. The latest project was a student-produced tourism video for Flagler County and Palm County attractions.

Zoom Source Link Tracking for Webinar Registration
SCORE Syracuse implemented Zoom source link tracking for their webinar registration.
Not only does it help identify what platforms are performing best for their chapter, but it also allows you to easily segment registrants from different SCORE chapters in your district- especially when webinars are shared or mutually hosted.
Nate Smith, a volunteer with SCORE Syracuse, created an instructional video that has been shared within their district. You can view it here: https://www.loom.com/share/632d9be03b5e4eacb9ab0481ad2f3ca9
