About the Conductor Award
Established in 2016, the Conductor Award is designed to honor exceptional volunteer leaders whose impact resonates across the entirety of SCORE. The award highlights those who go above and beyond to ensure our collective success.
The Power of Unified Leadership
The award is named for the unique way a leader must manage a complex organization. Much like the conductor of an orchestra, an outstanding field leader:
Understands the unique role of every individual section.
Brings disparate groups together to perform as a single, harmonious unit.
Unites volunteers, chapters, districts, committees, and staff in service of our shared mission.
The award is initiated by a resolution of the chapter’s Executive Committee, the District Director, OR the Regional Vice President and must be:
- Accompanied by written documentation verifying that the eligibility requirements have been met. This should include what leadership position they've held, a short description of their contributions to SCORE, and the address for shipping.
- Approved by the District Director.
- Submitted to recognition@score.org.
- Authorized by the Vice President of Field Operations or CEO and issued by the National SCORE office.
