Summary of Position:
The Associate District Director/s (ADDs), if/are required, is a key volunteer leader, serving as a potential successor and/or functional, or operational leadership support to the District Director (DD). The ADD supports the DD in providing leadership and implementing tactical objectives identified in the District's Annual Operating Plan. These roles work closely with the District Director to ensure effective communication, operational excellence, and alignment with SCORE's overall mission and strategy. Together they help manage the various aspects of District operations and provide input to the DD on higher-level leadership, mentoring and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Mentoring
- Support the DD in building trust through inclusive environments that encourage integrity and competence.
- Assist in connecting with the team, empowering and trusting volunteers.
- Learn and assist with growth initiatives and connecting chapters with SCORE resources.
- Support the DD in providing guidance and resources to chapters to achieve their business plans and performance goals.
- Assist in identifying future leaders and providing succession planning guidance.
- Help recognize, celebrate and reward chapter and mentor efforts.
Communicator
- Embrace and communicate SCORE's mission, vision and goals.
- Support effective communication among chapters and with the district office.
- Help encourage regular sharing, feedback and innovation through outreach and communication.
- Engage with leaders and volunteers in the district through calls or in-person visits with chapters.
- Help develop relationships with the BSA, business organizations, community organizations, and local media to heighten awareness of SCORE.
- Reinforce SCORE Core Values and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in public relations, community development, or partnership management preferred.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Knowledge of local business ecosystems and community organizations.
- Ability to represent SCORE professionals in various settings.
ADD Client Engagement
This role focuses on enhancing the client experience and ensuring effective service delivery across the District.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a central communication channel for disseminating information and resources to enhance client services.
- Monitor and analyze key metrics, client feedback and satisfaction across chapters.
- Identify trends in client needs and recommend improvements to service delivery. C
- Coordinate with chapters to ensure consistent and high-quality client experiences.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase client engagement and retention.
- Provide ongoing communication with the DD on progress and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, client relations or program management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Engage CRM Client Reports and data analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
ADD Volunteer Engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Volunteer Engagement chapter representatives to identify, develop, communicate, and implement best practices for:
- Recruiting new volunteers
- Mentor development
- Co-mentoring
- Retention of volunteers
- Recognition and reward programs
- Support Chapter Chairs and DDs in identifying future leaders and succession planning.
- Encourage the use of SCORE Training and Development resources among volunteers.
- Assist in building an inclusive environment that encourages integrity and competence.
- Provide ongoing communication with the DD on team progress and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience in volunteer management, human resources, or talent development.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Knowledge of training and development best practices.
- Ability to create and maintain inclusive and motivating environments.
Knowledge of SCORE’s education resources, Communities of Practice and Lifelong Learning programming.
ADD Education & Workshops
This role focuses on planning, organizing, and executing events across the District to support SCORE's mission and enhance its visibility and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive workshop calendar for the District, aligning with SCORE's overall strategy and local chapter needs.
- Represent District on the Regional/National Workshop Committees.
- Plan and coordinate District-wide events, including workshops, seminars, networking sessions, and recognition ceremonies.
- Collaborate with the Community Engagement ADD to identify opportunities for SCORE participation in external events and trade shows.
- Work closely with chapter leaders to support and enhance local workshop initiatives.
- Manage workshop budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximum impact.
- Coordinate with stakeholders as appropriate to ensure smooth execution of District events.
- Develop and implement event marketing strategies in collaboration with the Community Engagement ADD.
- Collect and analyze District event feedback to continuously improve quality and relevance.
- Ensure workshops adhere to SCORE's branding guidelines and quality standards.
- Make sure all workshops are recorded, ensuring that workshops are listed as external events so the Chapter may record views.
