Audience: Regional Volunteer Intake Coordinators (RVIC)
As a Regional Volunteer Intake Coordinator (RVIC), you manage new volunteer applications in Engage. This guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you assign interviewers, track progress, and update application records efficiently throughout the intake process.
System Notification of Application Received
The Regional Volunteer Intake Coordinator (RVIC) receives an automatic Engage notification each time a new volunteer application is submitted for their region. This notification prompts the RVIC to log into Engage, review the applicant’s information, and initiate the intake process.

Accessing New Volunteer Applications
-
From the Engage homepage, select Applications – Need Action
- Click View next to any application requiring action.
➤ TIP: New applications may not appear for up to 48 hours. Use the email link to access new records immediately. Or use the chapter’s volunteer intake queue to view all applications.
Viewing The Chapter’s Volunteer Intake Queue
- From the Engage homepage, select Applications by Status
- Then, click the drop-down arrow next to the current list name. Search and select the [Chapter] Volunteer Intake Queue.
- Click View next to the application requiring action.
What Happens When a Duplicate Application Is Submitted
- The applicant submits a new application via SCORE.org.
- Engage automatically verifies the applicant’s first name, last name, and email address to determine if the application is a duplicate.
- If a match is found, the system emails a notification to the applicant informing them that their submission was identified as a duplicate and was not processed.
