Chester Delaware illustrates how and what to update activities to the community membership.
Fellow partners in the community,
We hope this note finds you and your families healthy and enjoying your summer. Given we are halfway through the year it feels like a reasonable time to check in, to thank you for the continued support for SCORE, and to update you on our initiatives in the community. Several of you attended our SCORE Small Business Achievement Awards luncheon on June 16th, and we were thrilled to see you in person.
Our goals this year were to strengthen our programs to ensure we deliver relevant services to our clients, grow market awareness, especially in the underserved areas of Chester and Delaware counties, and enable a hybrid delivery of our services through both virtual and in-person approaches. I am proud to say SCORE has made great progress on all fronts. You can read about these efforts in the 2022 News Brief (see below) and the 2021 Progress Report (attachment).
We know that each year brings unexpected market changes to our small business community, which are stressful. SCORE services adapt to these changes, as well, through novel means of community outreach, introducing new education topics for client workshops (in addition to the basics), and expanding our mentoring expertise by tapping into the nationwide SCORE network. This is possible due to the expertise of our dedicated volunteers and the steady engagement with our community partners. As always, we are extremely grateful for your support and believe we are stronger as partners collaborating with each other.
We pledge to continue focusing our energy and resources on the challenges of the small business community. Together, there is much more that we can accomplish to multiply success.
Regards,
Mercedes Diaz and Dave Houseman
