Kat Shepherd notably represented SCORE and received SBA's 2022 District Director’s Award. An honor that Kat is most deserving of!
During the beginning of the pandemic, Kat contacted the SBA and offered to help and told them SCORE could host informative webinars and that we had a team of people who could help. Joy Clark-Holmes and Kat would moderate, host, and answer questions to 2000 attendees during two sessions per day. All sessions were recorded and sent to SBA twice a day. Eventually, they trained others in their chapter. The SBA team was fantastic in providing up-to-date information.
"The Inland Empire SCORE team was exceptional these past two years. We hosted webinars and provided support that helped businesses navigate EIDL and PPP loans. We are honored to represent SCORE and take actions that help our communities thrive."
In partnership with the SBA during the Covid Pandemic, SCORE Inland Empire hosted (on SCORE's Zoom account) 222 Pandemic-related workshops with an attendance of almost 108K. This is what our clients needed. This is a model program. SBA told us that the program would not have been as successful without our team and other SBA offices within the United States would pattern their programs after ours.
Our team is exceptional:
- Joy Clarke Holmes
- Kim Kat Shepherd
- Shannon Jones
- Irma Mascorro
- Artina McIntosh
- Crista Hill - retired
- Faby Carrer - retired
