SCORE Cleveland won Chapter of the Year for 2022, recognizing their accomplishments in the prior year. SCORE Cleveland has tripled their Total Services over the past two years, with 2021 results of 5,000 mentoring sessions, 82 workshops/webinars with 1,400 attendees. Their NPS scores, and Client & Volunteer Indices also increased in 2021, along with 94.1% MRE Conversion Rate. They have continued to be innovative in serving clients across their 130 mile wide served area, forming partnerships with over 50 other organizations.
SCORE Cleveland continued to grow in an ever-changing year caused by the COVID pandemic. They did this by having a culture that is based on the concept of “no Client left behind.” During this year, by focusing on the need to support their clients, the chapter grew the number of active volunteers by 14%. During this time, they saw an increase in Unique Mentoring Clients of over 8% which resulted in an increase in Mentoring Sessions of over 29%. In addition, their focus on Local Webinars lead to an increase of 26% in attendees!
These achievements are supported by both actions and mindset of what ONE SCORE is all about. One key to their success is having highly functioning Executive Committee. This group of talented leaders has created a collaborative environment for all their volunteers. It’s easy to see why their already strong volunteer engagement index is up again to an amazing 4.45!
This chapter also knows that to fully serve their community, it takes a collaborative effort, working alongside their more than 50 partner agencies and organizations. This Chapter is highly recognized as a element in the Community Support and Partner ecosystem.
Additionally, they know that these efforts need to be supported by a substantial fundraising effort. So, they put the work into fundraising within their community. The result of this effort provides them with most of their annual operating budget.
In the spirit of One SCORE, this chapter focuses on supporting other Chapters within their District, but also reaching out to other chapters across the nation. These efforts can be seen in the content and professional workshops they create as they pivoted from face-to-face to virtual webinars. They have also helped other chapters by sharing best practices on things like improving the MRE Conversion rate. This goes back to their philosophy of “no clients left behind.” This chapter as become known as a SCORE Chapter to reach out to as a valuable resource!
Congratulations to Chapter Chair Bob Cohen and the AMAZING SCORE Cleveland volunteers!
