MEMO: Masking and Distancing and Vaccine Policy Updates (COVID-19)

RE: SCORE Masking and Distancing and Vaccine Policy Updates

Introduction and Purpose

As a result of recent changes to Federal COVID-19 Safety Guidance, SCORE is updating its masking and distancing protocols and COVID-19 Vaccine requirements. SCORE is simplifying its policies to ensure that safety practices are easier to understand and follow. SCORE continues to prioritize the safety of its staff and volunteers and is therefore also providing recommended safety guidance to help avoid virus-related health risks.

Applicability

The policies outlined in this memo supersede all previous masking and distancing and vaccine policies and guidance. Previous policies, memos and guidance documents regarding COVID-19 safety and precautions are no longer applicable.

All updates herein shall apply to all SCORE staff, volunteers, contractors, and clients operating or doing business on behalf of SCORE (SCORE Representatives). These policies will apply to operations at any SCORE affiliated location as well as to any SCORE business meetings or events.

Masking and Distancing Policy

All SCORE Representatives must follow local and state COVID-19 related safety rules and guidelines whenever conducting in-person SCORE business, including but not limited to, face-to-face client meetings, in-person events and workshops, and in-person staff and team  meetings. SCORE Representatives are additionally required to comply with any building and lease owner rules as applicable.

Vaccination Policy

Effective immediate, SCORE Representatives are no longer required receive the COVID-19 vaccine or subsequent booster shots. This policy does not supersede any local, state, or federal requirements.

SCORE Safety Recommendations

SCORE highly recommends following CDC Guidance on masking (Mask Guidance | CDC) and on vaccinating (Stay Up to Date with COVID-19 Vaccines Including Boosters | CDC) in order to reduce personal health risk.

SCORE also encourages the printing and use of the COVID Safe workplace posters (CDC COVID Safe Workplace Posters) in any SCORE workspace.
