Chapters across the country already use events as a method to raise funds. Here is an overview of the different kinds of premium events SCORE chapters use to generate funds.
- Money 101 – Created as a 5-part program to help women entrepreneurs receive financial literacy training, the program has been expanded to help all entrepreneurs who can benefit from it. More information and resources in both English and Spanish are available here. Diana Drey, a SCORE New York City mentor who pioneered the program, is eager and willing to provide training to chapters that want to adopt this program.
- CEO Forums – Several chapters across the country offer private, in-person sessions for CEO, Presidents, or Owners of small businesses to come together with SCORE mentors and guest speakers to share cutting-edge ideas and solutions curated to the CEO level. Often, these groups have criteria for the types of businesses that can join. More information is available on this Support Center Page as well.
- Advisory Boards – Several chapters provide this premium service that pairs a team of advisors with a client to help them overcome obstacles. The advisory board offers a group with deep and varied experience to focus on the business and develop solutions tailored to the company's needs. For more information and examples, see below:
- Business Roundtables – Peer group discussions on business issues, facilitated by SCORE mentors or business professionals, to facilitate peer learning and networking.
- SCORE Awards – Some chapters host award/fundraising galas that bring in sponsorship dollars and/or donations. Here are a few chapter examples:
