A COLLABORATION OF THE SCORE ASSOCIATION AND THE SCORE FOUNDATION
Thank you for everything you do to support SCORE’s mission of fostering vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. We are thrilled to present this Fundraising Toolkit, created in collaboration with the SCORE Association, including collective best practices from chapters that have been successful in their own fundraising efforts.
The toolkit offers tips on fundraising, and simple, practical steps your chapter can implement now to begin attracting new or additional funding in support of local programs and services provided by your chapter. It is an evolving resource with a goal of increased funding for the entire organization. We will continue to add new content to the toolkit as we receive input from you, our dedicated volunteers.
The Table of Contents is designed to help you easily navigate through the many resources available. Whether you are a first-time fundraiser or an experienced one, this toolkit has something for you. Of course, there is no single right way to raise money, so we have incorporated several strategies and examples from the field.
Fundraising can be easy, simple, and fun. It is also as much an art as it is a science, and it is all about relationship building. If you can talk to people, which we suspect you can if you signed up to be a mentor, then you can raise money!
With a little planning and storytelling, you too can be a successful fundraiser! Our hope is that this toolkit will help guide you through your fundraising journey. Good luck!
With much gratitude,
Liz Sara, President, The SCORE Foundation
