Mary has been a volunteer at SCORE since 2012. Mary came to SCORE after more than 30 years at Colgate-Palmolive, working in a wide range of marketing and strategic planning roles. She managed and helped build major brands such as Palmolive, Colgate and Ajax both in the US as well as in global markets.
Mary has in-depth knowledge of branding, innovation, business development, business management and strategic planning. During her time with SCORE, Mary has made major contributions in Marketing leadership and has performed more than 2,000 mentoring sessions.
In 2016, Mary co-founded New York Women in Business, a virtual organization dedicated to helping women entrepreneurs succeed. A coalition of professional women’s organizations, including SCORE, it has a combined reach of 100,000 women across the tri-state area. Their spring event attracted almost 900 women entrepreneurs, and their most recent event in late July, “Reboot The New Normal”, will attract more than 1000. One of NYWIB’s key partners is We NYC at NYC Department of Small Business. Diana Franco, the Executive Director of We NYC, has called Mary, “The Queen of our partnerships at New York Women in Business.”
Mary has a BA from Wellesley College in Art History and Psychology, an MA in Visual Education from Boston University, and an MBA in Finance/Marketing from Columbia Business School.
