- I would recommend SCORE to friends and family as a great place to volunteer.
- I intend to continue volunteering with SCORE for at least another 12 months
Volunteer Inclusion Index (VII) *NEW in 2023*
The Inclusion Index is a new way we can measure Volunteer and Employee sentiment/perception. 2023 begins a baseline establishment for the Volunteer Inclusion Index. The VEI is calculated using the average rating of 8 specific “SCORE Values” questions, as answered on the Volunteer Engagement Survey.
What's a "good" index number? A good index number, for a chapter, would: a). be in line with or better than the SCORE Overall Volunteer Inclusion Index and b) would have improved (if possible) year/year against itself. The highest and best index possible is a 5.
Index score calculation: To calculate our Inclusion Index, we use the average rating of the “SCORE Values” questions. The questions use the standard 5 point Likert scale (below) and we calculate the average of all respondent answers within each Chapter by assigning a score value to each scale option (Strongly Disagree = 1, Disagree = 2, etc.).
Strongly Disagree - 1
Disagree - 2
Neither Agree nor Disagree - 3
Agree - 4
Strongly Agree – 5
As an example: if a chapter had 7 responses, where 4 respondents answered "Agree" and the other 3 answered "Disagree", the mean or index score for this chapter would be 3.14 ( 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 2 / 7 = 3.14)
