SCORE Leaders:

We have a handful of chapters that have not identified their Engage Facilitator and/or Training Coordinator. We have extended the deadline to Friday, June 7th. At that point, we will assign the Chapter Chair as the Engage Points of Contact.

The objective of the Engage Rollout team is to make this process as easy as possible, specifically for the Leaders and Engage Facilitators and Training Coordinators. The goal is to have them be point people in the chapter to assist with questions and guide chapter volunteers to the right resources, not to be experts in the system. We anticipate no more than 2-4 hours per week for these roles in terms of maximum time commitment.

We are working on the Engage Rollout Schedule. We will announce what that looks like on Wednesday, June 12th to you and the Engage Facilitators and Training Coordinators.

DISTRICT DIRECTORS: Identify Your Engage Facilitator

District Directors, we need you to confirm an Engage Facilitator for each chapter in your district. To do this, please look at this spreadsheet here. The spreadsheet currently shows which chapters have a designated an Engage Facilitator.

The Engage Facilitator's role will include:

Communicate Engage information to your chapter in a timely manner.
Prepare your chapter for the new business policies and processes being introduced with SCORE Engage.
Prepare adequately to serve as an information resource for your chapter.
Work with your chapter's Engage Training Coordinator as well as SCORE HQ Engage Training Specialist, Jasmine Oliver, on any issues or concerns related to your chapter's Engage training.

If the chapters do not identify an Engage Facilitator by Friday, June 7th, we will assign the Chapter Chair as the Engage Facilitator until someone else is identified.

To assign an Engage Facilitator , please return back to the spreadsheet and fill out the necessary information. This person will be working with Jasmine Oliver, as the HQ Engage Training Specialist.

DISTRICT DIRECTORS: Identify Your Engage Training Coordinator

District Directors, we also need you to identify an Engage Training Coordinator for eachchapter in your district. To do this, please fill out this spreadsheet here.

SCORE Engage Training Coordinator Role:

Help chapter leaders to connect with learning opportunities related to business policy and process
Orient chapter members to the right training opportunities for their roles
Encourage use of the in-system help mechanisms for access to training, knowledge resources, and direct support
Coordinate site visit (if the chapter will be receiving a site visit)

Please note: The Engage Training Coordinator role does not include the direct delivery of training to chapter members. Training for chapter members will be provided by SCORE Headquarters.

Just like the Engage Facilitator role, we ask that you identify someone for this role by Friday, June 7th. If someone is not identified, we will assign the person who had been identified as the Engage Facilitator.

Engage will provide an improved mentor match process.
Improved data for industries and experience will help make sure a client is directed to the right mentor on the first try.
It will provide better insight into chapter performance.
Reports and data exports from BIRT will be available throughout the entire SCORE Engage roll-out process. But new activity tracking and reporting features in SCORE Engage will allow greater insight into how SCORE as a whole (including National, regions, districts, and chapters) is serving both volunteers and clients.
With Engage, volunteers can see the impact of their work more clearly.
With new practices and tools available in SCORE Engage, volunteers will not only be able to provide better service to clients, but also better see the impact of their effort.
Engage will provide a more enjoyable experience for new volunteers.
A better onboarding process, including tracking and reporting, will allow both applicants and onboarding committee chairs to know exactly where the applicants stand in that process.
Seamless integration between systems and data.
Connectivity between all systems-SCORE Engage, Google Apps (like Email and Calendar), TOPYX (volunteer training), Zendesk (help.score.org), SCORE.org website, Contact Contact, and reporting systems-will be tightened, making it easier for volunteers to log into systems and quickly complete routine tasks.
