SCORE Greater Phoenix mentor Scott Ladin worked with client, Dr. Leena Hasbini Ed.D., to open her new, revolutionary place space. The play space, which caters to children ages 0 through 7, creates a space for both children and parents to enjoy. There are 6 themed Lilliput play spaces including a post office, grocery store, and animal hospital. These spaces encourage experiential learning and imagination. The Little Play Avenue is the first play space in Phoenix to have these playhouses. They offer classes that follow the National Association for the Education of Young Children standards. For parents, there is an on-site café offering an array of hot beverages. The venue also has an event space that offers 12 fully themed party options and can even include an in-house event concierge. Ladin worked with Hasbini to create a business model with slides and a webinar, prepared financial projections for startup and operation costs, and established a project plan with a targeted open date. They have continued their mentorship throughout the opening process addressing issues along the way. Congratulations to both Scott and Dr. Hasbini on the opening of the Little Play Avenue!
