SCORE may periodically create a Field Grant program to support specific initiatives. Should we have an initiative in a given year, it will be announced through the Field Leadership. If this occurs, please refer to the following information.
FY2021 Grants Awarded
Congratulations to the chapters and districts awarded a SCORE Inclusion grant this year. This grant is specific to the initiative that was submitted and approved by your RVP and the VP of Field Operations. These funds are to only be used for the specific purpose intended, are restricted to “allowable” expenses like the National Allocation, and must be used before September 30. Additionally, you are required to submit the outcomes as they relate to the proposed metrics in the request.
Use of Funds:
These funds are restricted to be used only for expenses allowable for use of federal grant funds just like the National Allocation. In order for a bill or Form 14 expense report to use the field grant funds, it must be submitted with “Field Grant” either written on the bill/Form 14 and/or in the email submitting it to email@example.com for payment. Once the field grant fund is exhausted, all other “Field Grant” expenses will be paid from available funds in this order: National Allocation Budget, chapter restricted funds, and then chapter unrestricted funds. If an expense is considered unallowable for use of federal grant funds, it will be paid from chapter unrestricted funds. All standard SOA (Statement of Activity or Income Statement) reports in Sage Intacct include Field Grant expenses which is offset every month by “HQ revenue”. Traditionally field grant expenses are coded to department 5170, 5171, or 5172. For FY21, the reporting requirements are making it necessary for the field grant to use Department 5260 Inclusion and Diversity. If your chapter uses customized SOA reports, these do not reflect this new department. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to request for any customized reports to be updated.
