On Monday, 1 February, Verizon launched a Small Business campaign tied to the Super Bowl. In the announcement, you will see that Verizon is committing $10 million to small business support through the nonprofit Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), with a particular focus on business owners in historically underserved communities. We also announced a Big Concert for Small Business that will be held immediately after the Super Bowl and floated details about a new small business training program that we plan to launch later this year. These initiatives are part of Citizen Verizon, the company’s responsible business plan for economic, social and environmental advancement.
There will be 2 rounds of LISC grants at $5M each with the first grantees to be selected mid-March and the second sometime in April. Here's a link to the LISC page, where SMBs can sign up to be notified when the application is live.
