The Success Story Pilot is an upcoming project where we intend to test strategies for the promotion of local chapter success stories online. Currently, as part of the Chapter Social Media Program, we create posts at scale for all chapter Facebook Pages, Google Business Profile Listings and LinkedIn Company Pages that highlight success stories and client testimonials from around the country. This is a free service to chapters, funded by SCORE HQ.
In FY23, we are looking for ways to evolve the Chapter Social Media Program and help your chapters have an even greater impact in your local online communities. One way we believe we can achieve this is through unique, localized success story content sourced from chapter websites and published individually on the coordinating chapter’s centrally managed social media channels.
Before we consider a wide-scale implementation of this kind of content development, we need to make sure the process and data support that decision. That’s where the Success Story Pilot comes in!
What are the objectives of the pilot?
- Create a scalable process to amplify new success stories published on score.org each month.
- Understand average volume of new monthly success stories and quality of content and assets, so Hiper is able to scope program support for system rollout.
- Create a set of chapter best practices for publishing success stories on score.org for optimal social media performance.
- Determine best content type for publishing at scale.
- Creation of internal post templates to accommodate different types of success stories.
- Define impact of boosting content vs. organic and incorporate into process.
How will the pilot work?
- Hiper will schedule local chapter success story content directly in SOCi.
- Chapter will have visibility to scheduled content by viewing their content calendar in SOCi. Copy updates may be made by the chapter if desired.
- Success story posts will be scheduled on Facebook, Google and LinkedIn starting on the 15th of each month, following the same schedule as local Facebook Events.
- All posts will use the hashtag #SOARwithSCORE, making each client success story post searchable in the local chapter content library in SOCi.
- Hiper will schedule success story posts exclusively on Mondays.
- Clients will be tagged in Facebook post, if possible.
- To measure the impact of paid spend on this content, local success story posts will be boosted on Facebook for $10/day for 7 days. This paid support will be funded by SCORE HQ.
How did we select 10 chapters to participate?
- Chapter has published at least 2 success stories on score.org in past 12 months
- Success stories must include a client photo and written content on score.org
- District representation amongst pilot chapters
